Episode 2.6: Where Joel and Misty discuss jello and the myth of high kids and low kids
Welcome to "it's officially summer" and Episode 2.6 of the More Math for More People Podcast!
This week Joel and Misty talk about the nuances of making jello for National Eat your Jello Day.
Then they are joined by Rachel Lambert, a former classroom teacher, special education teacher, and currently an assistant professor in the Gervitz Graduate School of Education at University of California Santa Barbara. Rachel's passion is also finding ways to create more math for more people by looking at how math education and special education intersect. This is part 1 of their conversation.
You can find Rachel's blog and links to her work at mathematizing4all.com.
Dylan Kane's blog post can be found at www.edutopia.org/article/thwarting-deficit-narratives-math-class.
